At TCI, we know that for some students, the best way to learn is from other children. Our integrated preschool program consists of six children ages 3-5 who are are classified as “Preschool Disabled” as well as typically developing peers. Our staff train the peers how to model appropriate social interactions and language, so they can ‘teach’ their classmates with autism.
The full time, behaviorally-oriented program operates five days a week, with typical peers joining for three of those days. TCI students receive related services on site, in accordance with their IEP and peers are an integral part of those services.
